April has been a busy month for the Crosslake Ideal Lions.  Last weekend, 40 community residents participated in the annual Roadside Clean-up event.  This included Lion members, Crosslake school trap teams/parents, in addition to the Catholic Church Youth Group and Crosslake Ideal Firemen clearing ditches prior to the weekend.  In total, there were fourteen heaping pick-up loads collected!  Treasures included a recliner, beer cans, alcohol bottles, food-to-go containers, clothing, masks, and a $20.00 bill!   Following the weekend clean-up, Crosslake Ideal Lions sponsored a lunch at Zorbas.   Many thanks to Zorbas for providing complimentary beverages!

The Diaper Drive will end April 30, 2021.  Look for donation boxes at local businesses. Donations will go to Mid-MN Women’s Shelter and TCCAP.

Lions continue to collect eyeglasses in support of  Lions International Vision Programs. These collection sites are located at Crosslake Community Center, First National Bank, Crosslake Clinic, Crosslake Drug, First Western Bank, Reeds Grocery store, Crosslake Lutheran Church, and Crosslake American Legion.
Look for information on the upcoming  Annual Lion’s Fishing Tournament scheduled for June 12, 2021 at Moonlight Bay. This year, the Tournament will be in memorial of the two founding Lion members, Bob Ayd and Joe Doerfler.  Prior participants will be receiving information packets.  Information regarding new participants will be forthcoming in the next month.

We continue to grow our membership with individuals who want to serve our community. For information, please email blhansen68@gmail.com.
